I was anxious as I imagine many would be patients are but the minute I entered under the umbrella of care that Tonic Surgery provided at Derby Royal Infirmary my anxiety dissipated. I cannot speak highly enough of the kind , caring and thoroughly professional manner I was dealt with in my short stay at DRI. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for the team at DRI. From the minute I arrived they kept me informed and cared for as if I was a member of the family. I really wish all hospitals were like this.
Everyone seemed so happy and pleased to be there and there was genuine warmth I felt between the staff and patients and some of then even laughed at my poor jokes......which is a bonus. Tonic was just that a Tonic that uplifted me and made me feel important and wanted when I was anxious. I will never forget my experience with Tonic and would recommend in a heartbeat Tonic Surgery.

Everything went to plan no hold ups all staff contacted me to make sure I was following all the pre liver diet, hospital appointment great team thank you. The only problem I had was myself not very good at sharing my blood lol but the nurser just carried on to they were successfully thank you for you patience.

what a an amazing team.

Great staff who are there if you need anything.

After a year of looking into everything to do with weight loss surgery I kept coming back to Tonic and so I made the decision to have the Gastric sleeve surgery.. After the first phone call to Tonic I knew I made the right decision.. They are lovely kind people who work there nothing is to much trouble made me feel like I was important.. 100% confident in the work they do.. If you want to start your weight loss Journey go to Tonic first and have a chat there’s no pressure..

I had my VSG through Tonic. I spoke to a couple of companies over 5-6 months and kept coming back to Tonic , they were really helpful, understanding and the information given once I’d booked my surgery was thorough and clear. I had calls for the first week after from Debbie who was just lovely. I’d recommend Tonic to anyone considering this type of surgery

I think the policy on patients own medication needs reviewing. I understand the need for this to be locked away, but those that are deemed appropriate and able to self medicate with their own medications should be given the choice to do so.
